Oak Tree Drawing

An Oak tree watercolor. I used Derwent watercolor pencils, a Conte sanguine colored pencil, and a generic blue watercolor in a plastic watercolor brush from #Sketchbox https://getsketchbox.com.

Thank you, Pam! No rules, just play!

Silhouette Drawing

I have been reading, Read This If You Want To Be Great At Drawing, by Selwyn Leamy. It has and continues to be a great source for drawing better. This is a quick silhouette drawing of a paper mache manican. It turned out well. You can see and feel the energy!

Seasonal Change, Spring

Spring!

What a word!

It has several meanings. My favourite is...the renewal of living things, the change of season from winter.

I know for myself, I need change. I like having more than one or two seasons. I think it helps human beings in life to stay grounded and appreciative of all life. Although as I get older, winter tends to be a more challenging season.

I have been in the midst of change. A crusible. I hope to continue to move forward from an extended long wintering and into an eternal Spring. I once heard that HOPE springs eternal. I like the thought.

In the spirit of creativity I have been practicing drawing, stitching, and writing some haiku poetry. From time to time I will post my poems, drawings, and other works of art.

I hope you will appreciate them. I hope they will inspire you. I hope you will find joy in living creatively.

With hope,

PeggyJo
